I started reading Feelings Buried Alive Never Die... this week. It has the perfect words for this perfect situation. It contains a lot of reminders that will help me get back on track, I think. It discusses the fact that buried feelings never go away and how they are the cause of pain and discontent in our lives. Feelings must be resolved before they can die. It talks about how every living thing has energy and gives off vibrations. We all have a source, be it God or any other higher power, and the closer we are to our source the more in tune our vibration is with our source and the more content you will be. My vibrations have been so off! Is this making sense? If not you should read the book:) It talks about love and how we must have unconditional love. Sometimes people think of having unconditional love for others, but first and foremost you must have it for yourself. We tend to beat ourselves up and take that love away for doing the most minuscule things. Just as we should love others for who they are, we need to love ourselves for who we are, even if we are a work in progress. One of my favorite quotes about love in this book is, "love is accepting what is," plain and simple. When we are accepting and open, it gives room for change and growth. If we resist and try to control people and situations, it removes love and inhibits growth; it makes us miserable.
Last but not least...
"Love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness. And what is the key that opens the gates of love? Forgiveness. Forgiveness of self and forgiveness of others. Forgiveness also opens the gates to peace of mind."
